Old Fashioned'

Old Fashioned

2 oz                 Rye Whiskey

1 bar spoon     Granulated Sugar

2 bar spoons    Water

3 dashes          Angostura Bitters

Add sugar and water and bitters. Stir until sugar is dissolved (or replace this with simple syrup). Then add rye and 1 large ice cube and stir well-chilled.

Optionally garnish with a maraschino cherry or a couple of drops of maraschino cherry liqueur. 

Old Fashioned

2 oz bourbon whiskey 1 barspoon of simple syrup 2-3 dashes of aromatic bitters

Three Bitters Old Fashioned

2 oz                 Rye Whiskey

1 bar spoon     Granulated Sugar

2 bar spoons    Water

3 dashes          Angostura Bitters

2 dashes          Orange Bitters

1 dash             Peychaud Bitters

Add sugar and water and all bitters. Stir until sugar dissolved (or replace this with simple syrup). Then add rye and 1 large ice cube and stir well-chilled.

Optionally garnish with a maraschino cherry or a couple of drops of maraschino cherry liqueur.
