Basic Margarita
1 oz Fresh squeezed lime juice
1 oz Cointreau, triple sec, or another orange liqueur
1 oz Blanco tequila
Modified Basic Margarita
3⁄4 oz Fresh squeezed lime juice
1 oz Cointreau, triple sec, or another orange liqueur
1 1⁄2 oz Blanco tequila
Tommys Margarita
2 oz Blanco tequila
1 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
1/2 oz agave nectar
Garnish: salt rim
Add the tequila, lime juice, and agave nectar to a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
2-1-1 Margarita
1 oz Fresh squeezed lime juice
1 oz Cointreau, triple sec, or another orange liqueur
2 oz Blanco or reposado tequila
Add the ingredients to a shaker filled with ice and shake.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass or rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
Garnish with a lime wheel.
For a slightly sweeter drink, add a dash of agave syrup (one part water, two parts agave nectar) before shaking.
Perfect Margarita (My Style)
2 oz Reposado tequila
1 oz Lime juice
1 oz Lemon Juice
3/4 oz Gran gala or grand marnier
1 oz Simple syrup
1 oz Triple sec or cointreau or tres orange
1/2 oz Water
1 dash Orange bitters optional
Spicy Grand Margarita
Salt
1⁄2 oz Simple syrup
1⁄4 tsp Red pepper flakes
1 pinch chipotle chile powder
1 3⁄4 oz Reposado tequila
1⁄2 oz Grand Marnier
3⁄4 oz lime juice
1 Jalapeño or red chile pepper
Coat the rim of a rocks glass with salt, fill with ice and set aside.
In a shaker, muddle the agave nectar or simple syrup, red pepper flakes and chile powder.
Add the remaining ingredients, fill with ice and shake vigorously.
Strain through a tea strainer into the prepared glass.
Garnish with a jalapeño or red chile pepper.
